Engineering - (HYSYS) Production of Propylene Glycol

Ok, sekarang nie kita fokus pada study plak k, balance antara enjoy & study. Haha. Sekarang nie kita smbung pelajaran kita mengenai HYSYS simulation. Untuk production of propylene glycol, kita tengok dulu process situation dia cmner, sebagai contoh:


Question 1
Assume that the reactor is operating at isothermal condition, what is the conversion of the reaction and what is the duty of the reactor?

Question 2

For non-isothermal condition, what is the reaction conversion at temperature 900F and 1000F?
 
Question 3  
If the reactor is operating at adiabatic condition, what is the operating temperature for 98% reaction conversion?
Question 4    
What is the temperature required to obtain 95% conversion for isothermal reactor condition?

Question 5 

What is the phase of the product obtained?


Question 6 

What is the mole fraction for each component in the product stream at the conversion of 95%?

Question 7 

Attach a second reaction set to the fluid package for conversion reactor type. On the same PFD and by using the same process conditions above, find the duty of the reactor (set the conversion for the reactor as 95% and the reactor is operating under isothermal condition).
